The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
Is it gonna be a bunch of nerd bands covering zelda theme songs? Or some like oldschool hardcore like Gorilla Biscuits?

Well, PAX Prime had Anamanaguchi (sp?), Jonathan Coulton, Paul and Storm, Freezepop, Metroid Metal and MC Frontalot. Look them up to get some idea of what to expect at PAX East. Joco and P+S confirmed as Drdedalus said, and I'd expect Freezepop to be there as well.
This will be my first expo of this type, should be fun, I hope Freezepop plays I wouldn't be surprised if they did considering they live in Boston.
Lets hope we get info soon, just bought tickets for my wife and I, our daughter will be about 4 months old by pax, we're tempted to dress her as a katamari character
I have heard that Anamanaguchi is confirmed for PAX East.
That they were invited back for PAX 2009 was one of the primary reasons I opted not to go to PAX 2009 after seeing their concert at PAX 2008. If they're coming to PAX East, I really hope there are some other quality acts to balance them out.

Indeed, JoCo puts on a show that cannot be compared to, especially when teamed up with Paul and Storm. They put on one hell of a show at this last PAX.
How many encores did they come out for? Three? I can't remember how many. It was crazy and awesome simultaneously, which I believe is illegal in some countries.
I'm curious what night JoCo will be playing myself. I'm coming out with a media contingent, but I bought my dad a regular admission pass because I want him to see part of what I do for a living, and why I love it so much. That said, JoCo is right up his musical alley and how he is performing on the night my dad has a ticket for
Sort of an announcement, PAX East is going to sell out. Does anyone how many people they are capping the event at? I think PAX 09 was around 60,000.
I thought they had 75,000... But they did say they had record-breaking PAX pre-reg's (30,000?!), and some people predict a sellout even before announcements go out! Wooh man, it all depends on the size of this new convention center and how many people they want, this is a whole new experience on the opposite end of the nation!

Frontalot has a note on his upcoming shows page that says he's playing on Friday night, so I would assume that JoCo will be on Saturday.

This guy has compiled a bunch of PAX East stuff from various sources.

Thanks Moe. I'm "This guy". Everyone, please leave a comment in my blog post if you know of any other PAX East events, whether they are sanctioned (on-site) or unsanctioned (off-site). I will update the post daily (as needed) until PAX East kicks off.

There's a lot of off-site activity. You might want to check some of the threads on this forum for those (pre-pax dinner, pub crawl (thread not up yet), magical mystery tour, etc).

Yes.
Info usually comes within like 6 weeks of the event, mostly because things aren't solidified until then.
Jonathan Coulton posted that he will be there, but exactly when has yet to be announced. As you can tell by my sig, I'm pretty excited.
And we're out of beta, we're releasing on time.
I am excite.
