Comics reading is hard when they are multiple ongoing series and lots of crossovers.

I am a disgrunted comics reader due to the difficulty in reading comics.
Why can't comics be more standalone in their own series.

    The problem is that the 'island' books (ie books that aren't directly connected to events) rarely sell that well. See: DR VOODOO, SWORD, BLUE BEETLE, MANHUNTER, etc.
