How would I setup two separate broadband connections for simultaneous use in Windows 7?
More specifically, I have a cable connection and a 3G connection, and wish to use the cable for P2P and the 3G for internet browsing and other low bandwidth operations.
Is it possible to assign bandwidth in this manner on a program by program basis, and if so what hardware and software would I need to accomplish it?
yes, it's possible to direct network traffic in the manner you're suggesting. it's called routing and while its ideal to have a separate piece of hardware do it for you, it's probably possible to do it all in windows 7.
you're probably routing all traffic through which ever adapter your using. instead you'd need to use your own machine as the gateway and setup routing rules for certain traffic to use specific interfaces. say all www traffic (tcp 80 and 8080) to interface 1(the 3g).
i know it's available in linux, i'm fairly positive the same thing can be done inclusive to windows 7.
