Anyone wanna group up for PAX east? Ive gotten my tickets for PAX east today, and im pretty sure my friends aren't gonna be up for it in march.

Im 18, a guy and into pc games and tabletop games.

    Can we say... sausage fest? I can't fault anyone for trying to meet the opposite sex at PAX though, as I firmly believe it's more important to find someone who is into the same stuff as you, rather than going for looks.
    Luckily my wife is at least half-nerd. Go for the gold kids!

    I think hes just looking for people in general to hang out with because hes going to PAX by himself.

    I could be wrong, but yea... thats what I think.

    Advice:

    Get in PAX IRC, get to know people, you'll find people to hang out with, if thats what youre looking for.

    Oh true true. His topic does say "solos" not "singles". The IRC is a good suggestion. I'd also suggest the hotel sharing thread. Good way to meet a few people and save a few bucks.

    It would also be good to post where you are travelling from, as you might be able to meet up for the trip too

    You should always assume if there is no designation that the closest PAX (with leeway given to the upcoming) is implied.

    If you aren't on twitter yet, make an account and post on the Twitter thread. There are over 300 people on the Twitter list. It's a great way to find out what people are doing at PAX and join in on the fun.
    I travel to PAX Prime by myself every year. Once I'm there it's very easy to find people to hang out with. I suspect that PAX East will be the same.

    Woot for the annual lets group up/pax is not a dating service thread.

    For the record every year someone does this and the exact same comments get posted

    (pax is not a dating service) followed by (that not what i meant) and the random person (this should be LFG)

    All is good though it made me laugh mostly cause it does not matter what the thread is titled the three comments above always will be added even though most of us know its hey just want to hang out make new friends.

    Yes IRC, twitter, forums all good places to make friends.:lol:
