The concert that this recording is from is available in full. Duke Ellington: Live At Newport. It's the best big band jazz recording ever. You won't regret the purchase.

If you can find it, Johnny Favorite Swing Orchestra is amazing. Good luck with that though.

Early Coltrane, Charlie Parker, Monk swings in a unique badass way, Miles, Freddie Hubbard, Wes Montgomery, Clifford Brown, Dexter Gordon, Kenny Burrell

a short list of my favorite swingers. Most combo jazz in the 50's-60's is standard oriented, most swing.

Miles Davis
Benny Goodman
Buddy Rich
Glen Miller
Gene Krupa
Galen Jeter (not as notable)

Most of these are big bands, but there are some notable notables in there worth really listening to. Get into the context of the times when you listen to it - I recommend wikipedia
