Shave and a Haircut (mainly the latter)

Alright, so normally I would decide this kind of thing on my own accord, but seeing as how i'm the type of guy who only gets his hair trimmed instead of an actual haircut, i've decided to branch out and try something new here. Unfortunately, I can't really pick out a decent hair style for the life of me; I'm really that bad at picking a hair style.

Anyways, i've been told that one of my strong features are my eyes, and that it's a shame that hardly anyone sees them. Maybe a haircut that would show off those features would help a bit?

Sorry for the horrible photos, but it was all that I could manage on such short notice. I've seen a similar topic like this be done before here, and I trust you guys enough to give me an honest-to-god answer on what I should and shouldn't do for this next clip.

In the end its really whether you like them or not, but I'm known to just let my hair grow out naturally for months, and then when I'm tired of the shag-rag get my hair buzzed. Its a month or so of heaven with little to no management, then a month or so of seeing how your hair is at short/medium length, and eventually its back to the long length (That is if you still want it).

Again though this really depends if you want to part with that much length in such a short period of time, because of course if you do get it buzzed or really short, you've gotta stick with it for a bit.

It's something different, and it allows you to see how your hair is at various lengths (that is if you havent had it cut in a while).

It's not so much cutting my hair short as it is what would look best on me. I mean, I love long hair, but it does have it's drawbacks; takes loads longer to wash, gets in the eyes, the usual stuff. On the other hand, having that extra weight on top of the ol' cranium is a nice thing, but I could really go either way here.

Just thought i'd try something different here. It doesn't have to be something drastically short or anything, just stylized or have some sort of flow to it. Thanks for your advice so far.

If you want to know what to ask for, just print the photo and show it to the person that cuts your hair.

My girlfriend is the owner of her own salon and had been cutting hair for 5+ years. She told me she prefers it when people come in with a picture rather than come in and try to describe the hairstyle they want. She finds that most times people aren't savy to haircutting lingo, so she ends up doing what they tell her to only to find out that it is not what they wanted. Just print it and take it in with you, don't worry about a hairstyle name.
