EDIT: Yeah, really shoulda looked at the G&T forum, heh.

Ok so since that computer idea (if any of you saw that thread the other day) fell through and I really dont play that many PC games (or have the desire to) I thought I should upgrade my tv situation. Currently Ive got an old 20 incher (they're measured on the diagonal, arent they?) and its starting to lose picture around the edges. It cuts off about an inch or two from what I can guess. Its also almost impossible to read the text in the games that come out. Just got Mass Effect 2 and Im super glad everything important is voice acted cause I cant read hardly anything.

Anyway, I thought I would look around for a new tv. Id like to get an HD since thats where everything is going and it would be a decent upgrade from my crappy standard def. Problem is, I dont know anything about em, I looked around on amazon and there were a ton of choices, plenty of which were in my price range, but I dont want to buy a crappy piece of tech and have it die on me two months into using it.

What I want:
HDTV, Id love to be able to read the stuff in my games again.
19-25 inches or so, basically about as big as my tv is now.
price limit? probly 250-300, but cheaper is appreciated. I can stand to spend up to that if it will make a significant difference. (I realize this restricts me and I dont mind buyin somethin from a lesser known brand as long as its not gonna be terrible)

Also: my cable hookup is the one where it screws into the back of the tv (coaxial I think?), I dunno if those are still standard fare or anything, do tv's still have that hookup? I know some stuff has gone the way of the dodo so Id like to know if Ill need an adapter or somethin.

Thanks guys!
