I just got done deleting about 9 pages of similar emails. Does anyone know why this would be happening or how to stop it? I don't sign up for anything silly or enter contests in random ads on pages, I'm generally pretty strict about how I give out my email address.
This happened once before for 3 or 4 days where these 3 name emails would flood in, and then it stopped for a long while and now it's beginning again.
Any suggestions? I can't seem to locate it in squirrelmail, if it has it, but even some kind of filter to get rid of all "Re: blank" subjects would be nice.
Thanks in advance!

Just checked SquirrelMail on my site (1.4.9a) and it doesn't look like it has what you're looking for as far as filtering. The only spam options I have are links to the ones my host has installed separately.
As for reasons...you could be the target of a specific attack, though that's probably unlikely. A friend of yours could have been infected, and is sending mass amounts of e-mails to those in their address book.
Have you recently signed up for anything new with that address? Or started posting it publicly viewable on-line? Both of those are where the majority of my spam comes from.
I think it must be from posting my email address online somewhere sometime. I thought I had all my tracks covered!
I've been meaning to do this for a while but I just signed up for gmail so I'll just forward my stuff to there which apparently has much better spam filtering.
Thanks for the confirmation on Squirrelmail though! Thought maybe I was just blind.
