In a rather annoying turn of events, it seems as if my sound no longer works on my computer.
The speakers are turned on, they're plugged in, the device is enabled in the control panel, I look at the little sound mixer icon on the right hand corner of my screen and it thinks it's playing music.
I try to plug in earphones, no good.
Does anyone have any possible idea what could be going on? The only thing that I can think of that may have happened was that we lost power a few days ago. My PC is plugged into a surge protector/power supply, which ran out of juice before I came home (so the PC was suddenly turned off when the power supply was used up).
