If you do not want to make a character, but would still like to bip in occasionally/fuck with the players, then do I have good news for you! Characters whose names are written in Lime may be controlled by anyone who wanders into the thread. Anyone. Just make sure to post the character's actions in Sandybrown so DE?AD notices them.
There are currently three missions happening simultaneously:
[The Eye of the Sandstorm] [Dubh, Viscount Islands, scarlet st., VALVEjunkie, Zanzibar, Cheeseliker]
Estimated Location: Western Nevada Description: Nearby the Raider camp there is a perpetual sandstorm, a never-ending spire of dust, wind and grit marring the landscape. Your mission is to find the "eye" of this supernatural storm, investigate the phenomena, and keep an eye out for any dangers or allies that might be found in this inhospitable terrain. Unlockable Ads: [Gritty], [Muad'Dib], [Sandworm Rider]
[The Cliffs of Insanity] [Squall, Raneados, Speed Racer, Antimatter, Lockout, romanqwerty, Tommy2Hands]
Estimated Location: Western Nevada Description:The Raider camp appears to be situated on the top of a tremendous cube, a suspicious geographic formation at best, Inconceivable! Your mission is to go to the nearby cliffs and explore them for possible dangers, boons, and safe places to scale or descend the cliffs. Unlockable Ads: [Acrobat], [Death From Above], [Scale the Foe]
[Mayfield is Undead] [Krosius, Marshmallow, Shabooty, Cheeseliker]
Estimated Location: Western Nevada Description:"The Roof", the tippy top of the Clark Tower just barely juts above the desert near the Raider Camp. A few refugees have come to the camp, bearing stories of a buried city, mutated monsters, and the rotten trappings of a civilization devestated. However, there may be valuable items and scrap to be found, and information to be gathered. A group must be sent to further explore the ruins of Mayfield, and bring word of possible enemies or benefits back to the Raider Camp. Unlockable Ads: [Tunnel Lord], [Adept Looter], [No Fear]
[Warren's Crepes] [DLC] [ ]
Estimated Location:Western Nevada Description:Leo Dryer, a new refugee to The Camp, tells of a family restaurant transported into the desert. An evil presence has taken over the restaurant, causing Leo to flee in search of help. This optional task must be undertaken by a group willing to delve into the very bowels of hell to save a place that serves really really really good hash browns. Unlockable Ads: ???
Ads that we missed the chance to unlock: [Iron Blood], [Expert Forager], [Charmer], [Shank], [Burglar]
[The Third Heat]
Dusty takes a look at the Raiders' note. "Hmm. Correct-t-t-t-t-t. Clearly directions by-y-y-y clock. 24/24 is a new term. If 12/12, we can assume we are surrounded by cliffs- as if we were in a hole or on a mesa rk wrr hrrrk crrrrks akrrr rrrs to-o-o-o-o."
"We need recon. The Winnebago is best scouting vessel. No need trrk bring Mothertrucker along unless assa-a-a-ault team is warranted. Or, we build a tower." Dusty pushes forward a schematic.
"Not fond of current view." Dusty taps his finger on the picture. "Can ma-a-a-ake rrk better one."

[Hail to the Watch] - 1 Phys Wound, 1 Ment Wound, OOOOO
I get into the driver's seat of the van, and get ready to get going as soon as the rest have finished stretching their legs.
I take a moment to think back on the encounter in the suburbs, specifically my addressing of the crowd in an attempt to get them to take the census. Perhaps a silly pursuit for that moment in time, I'll have to be careful not to put myself (and more importantly, my allies) in a situation like that. It was terribly unprofessional. Delivering a proper census is perhaps more important then it ever was before, how many people have survived the Crash? How many have become something more, or less, then human in their struggle?
Clearly I cannot approach my task in the same manner I have been trained. I'll be flying blind, writing the manual on post apocalyptic enumeration, kinda like Kevin Costner in The Postman except, you know, good.
Ad gained Reknown [1]: Announcing myself before a crowd as a completely bonkers federal employee was the last of a long series of bad, attention garnering actions on my part. I can think clearer now, and I have responsibilities to fulfill. The best way to do that is change the way the public sees me, a newer, more sane enumerator, hip to today's ethnic and genetic realities and intent on doing his job intelligently and efficiently to better the nation's knowledge of her citizens. Fuck yeah.
Od lost Compulsion [-1]: It's become very clear that traditional, persistent methods of Census administering will not suffice in this new political climate. I'm going to have to be crafty, cunning, and improvising if I'm going to have any chance of completing my mission.
"Hey sticks, you wrote earlier that you didn't 'detect any other robots', how do you do that?" I ask. Remembering his lack of communication, I offer a government note book and a pen. "You can keep those if you like, but back to my question. Is it some sort of network? Does it involve... brackets and a sense of lime-nicity?"
He's still kinda crazy, just gonna be sneakier about it I guess.
I might've had him go pyscher and just plunder the info right out of people's heads if I weren't way way more intrigued by the possibilities of the Subneural network.

yeah compulsion + legion's got you totally fucked
you attacked a freakdog, then waded into a mob to administer a survey
The Ocean King nods sagely at the pieces of paper being presented to him on his throne of artfully arranged raider corpses (really, is there anything they are not good for?), and he pours over each one for minutes while the portentous silence grows.
He looks up at his gathered subjects, waiting on his word for a plan of action. He seems about to speak, then his eyes grow wide and he points up at the sky. Everyone turns to look, and when they glance back, the Ocean King has left a small cloud of dust as he sprints toward the Winnebago.
"No sense, debating this all endlessly, all will soon be ours, I delegate Rargh the decision making responsibility, let us move."
Illiteracy does odd things to a man's pride.

Quick question,
Would I be able to use intimidate to inflict social wounds in combat?
Maybe just put colored text on the same colored backround.
More interested in saving space. I noticed the chronicles having only DE?AD's posts makes them lose a fair amount of character interactions and so forth, but including every single in-character post would make the page humongous.
Ergo, spoilers for player posts, out in the open for DE?AD's. I'll probably just make a googledoc and paste everything into it, make it way easier to search for things when I enter a possessed mood.

rane we need to find some RAD fast I'm getting bored not being able to do anything.
does jack still have control of his arms/legs or is it spider mode from here on out?
edit: valve remember to post about what ods/ads you're losing/gaining when you get conscious again
edit edit: also De?ad said that he hasn't divulged how we can get you awake yet
I think we could wait till moonrise or whatever but that's many hours away
he said you need a dose of RAD but we can't transfer it to you so we have to maybe find a syringe full of RAD or something
or we could wait till moonrise that works too
oh yea DE?AD when cass fucked with my brain she did some work on the vocal chords accidentally
REMOVING CAN ONLY SCREAM[1]
you have a shitload of rad
I don't think so
Also I can write up a summary for Mayfield later if no one else does it by then, I'm going out for the evening.
I have 17 rad
it might be less now that legions is gone
but nevertheless is it a very large number as far as this shit goes
if you ever get awake and moving, all your stats are at 1
so remember to add RADs to your dice rolls to actually be able to do stuff
What spring does with the cherry trees.
you might want to record your base RAD versus your earned RAD
no, wait, you spent all your RAD repainting the van
you just have your base rad when the moon comes up, next

Dusty put R.B. in the picture for the same reason that six year-olds put their family standing in front of a house

Dusty nods and strolls after the Ocean King, not at all surprised by his response. He stops, for a moment, and gazes up at the sky. "One da-a-a-ay."
