Is it too much to ask the late night community to STOP putting references and ESPECIALLY the puncline/last panel's content in the thread title?
Like, does it do anyhting? The date would suffice. Half the times I get to a comic, I alread know where its going cuz some dumbass has chosen to write the last line in as the title.
It doesnt have to be official policy even (although I'm open to jailing or something for anyone who violates it, like "in b4 sticky") Just getting the word around that its completely unnecessary and if anything, detrimental to those who didn't immediately get hte comic for themselves first.
i disgaree. if anything the title makes me more interested in reading it, even if it does contain the punchline. also, what good is a punchline without a joke to precede it? you don't get it until you hear the whole joke anyways

Are you going to ask Tycho not to put any spoilers in the title of his newspost, just incase you see that first?
when thinking of what to name the thread when I posted this exact thought went through my mind. I thought "should I even allude to the fact that the fruit fucker's in it." and then I thought of Tycho's posts where he'll say what happens in the comic
fuck you. having seen this thread I'll take it into account now.
flaming in the new comic thread is the stupidest thing you can do. any god damned fucking moron here knows that when they play with fire they get burnt. and the new comic thread is for the discussion of the new comic and that's all.
god dmanit why am I taking everything here so seriously

but there have been a # of cases of people putting in teh dialogue, or writing about stuff that you would never see from the official title of the comic.
whatever, I just dont even see the point of "spoiling" a 3 panel comic (sometimes)
Your solution would then change to "don't read SE++ for the 4 hours every night when tle comic may or may not be up"
I DONT even have to read the new comic thread, the comic is already being "ruined" by someone giving its content away in their new-comic-thread's title.
Do you 3 understand that? It's pretty hard to selectively not see a thread on the forum but REALLY EASY for someone making a new commc thread to leave those kind of details out.
Deus, just ignore it. I don't even notice the top 4 or 5 threads when I browse. It's not that hard: I don't read the forums more than 2 or 3 times a week. After a few days of forcing yourself not to look, you'll do it automatically. Besides, it's a comic. On the internet. It's not like you're going to die if you get the comic spoiled once or twice.

Truthed.
THE SPOILER IS IN THE THREAD'S TITLE.

I didn't think it was asking for much, really.
