There are documented connection issues on Steam, not sure about the PSN though.
Is anyone else getting an error saying "This game is currently unavailable" when trying to launch it from the steam browser? Because that's what I'm getting.

Battlefield is meant to be played on a 64 player server. Bullets whizzing all over, tanks loping around like gazelles, planes crashing into buildings because they forgot to pull up on their strafing run, aircraft carriers ramming battleships, the whole shebang.

I had some pretty standard battlefield moments today. Dude takes off in a helicopter and promptly flips over and crashes.
Another time I hop into the gunners seat and the pilot flies us over to the enemy side of the map but then just sits there while our objectives are getting blown up by the bad guys back on the other side of the map.
One of you dudes is going to have to explain to me the appeal of Bad Company 2. Maybe it was just the 360 version, but it drove me away fast.
What didn't you like about it?
I like the destructible environments, leveling, vehicles.
I don't know really. I might have been on a shitty server. I downloaded it for the 360 and selected a medic, ran out in front of where I spawned and got killed by something.
Then I respawned, came back in and snuck around the building looking for the guy who killed me and got killed again.
Then I respawned and managed to sneak my way forward some and saw a guy and shot him, then tank rolled over a hill and blew me up. So I respawned and got in a ATV that some guy was driving but I don't think he knew where he was going, so I jumped out and shot at a guy running up the road but before I could kill him, I got sniped.
This is everything I can say about Battlefield 1942. I've posted it before, but it bears posting again.
We teamkilled each other on a private server so many times we broke the kill counters. Seems they weren't designed to display a negative total with three digits.
tNAC: yeah some games just aren't for everyone. There are some games out there I just can't get into. I haven't played medic yet because I didn't really see the point. Healing people would be cool but it seems like if someone died, I would die if I tried healing them.

and marines are really scary if you have a dedicated team
the problem is that deathmatch is free for all and the classes are not really balanced against each other

Also the classes aren't too unbalanced. You can do well with any of them.
That is intensely enjoyable, too bad my PC is maybe older than dirt? It's possible, god I haven't upgraded this thing in years.

but add in exploding environment
I can hop into any class cause all I do is knife and pistol.
Reviving is very useful for the attackers but I think not needed as much on the defender side, although it beats waiting for a respawn timer.
