iTunes problem

iTunes suddenly won't play all the songs I have on one of my smart playlists. They were all working fine up until today. If I add new songs to the playlist, they work just fine, but none of the original songs on the playlist will play. If I try to play them from the general library or another playlist, they won't work either. The songs work just fine in other media players. This is on Windows 7.
