Now, I never got the lega Bionicle series, I mean, its like normal lego, but alot less customisable. Anyway, I've not heard about this game on G&T at all, and am curious.

IGN score of 8.0 "If Nintendo opened the door (MPH), Traveller's Tales and Amaze Entertainment are the first to step through it...This is a satisfying shooter experience that fans of the genre shouldn't ignore"

Anyone got this game, is it any good?

I imagine its 'Ok' but a game really has to be outstanding on the DS to get alot of attention, since there is so much great stuff out there.

Bionicle was created because Lego realized that they were giving kids too many reusable parts. They let kids get too creative, and sales started dropping off because of it. So they came up with Bionicle, which are essentially do-the-assembly-for-us action figures.

That said, I have no idea what the game is like. I'm just assuming that it's more about the mythos of Bionicle than the Lego aspect.

I made some cool custom Bionicle figures... like, back when they were first new. Before they were called Bionicles.

I will only buy a LEGO game if it allows 100% customization of your character model.

Bonus if the character model is a vehicle (IE: Fighter).

I had purple lightning dude with black limbs that could turn into some sort of vehicle. He could also shoot disks.

Doesn't look stylus controlled, ala Metroid. How does it work?

I played the 360 iteration of this and it's not bad at all. Something I'd think is worth it for $19.99 or so when it goes to that. I'll definitely have to check this out.

What makes it look non-stylus controlled?

    ...yeah..

If anything, it looks pretty much identical to MP:H.

Someone here's played it and said it's decent technically but really easy. I had a thread a while back about DS Shovelware and it got brought up, can't remember who it was that had a copy though.

Yeah, that's about right. I don't remember if I was the person who commented, but I do own it. It's very easy and simple (think Doom for kids) but nonetheless fun. It's a lot like Lego Star Wars in that there's a shitload of replayability in going back to find the rune pieces that you can use to unlock all sorts of fun cheats (everything from invincibility to harder enemies to a gun that fires livestock). The graphics look worse than MP:H, but I imagine part of that comes from the fact that you're dealing with a world made out of blocks. Multiplayer is multi-cart only, which pisses me off. It's far from mind-blowing, but it's a fairly decent game. It's definitely worth a bargain price.
