So I'm all cooking this bacon and everything, and I noticed that the bacon smells really bad. It's like -- a sweet smell -- sweet, yet extremely gross. I've never smelled a corpse before, but if it's anything like this, I can see why people puke when they smell it.
Don't eat it. If you do, you're putting yourself through the psychological torture of not knowing whether you're going to regret it, and it wil be a terrible experience. You're not likely to get sick, but is your peace of mind really worth the risk?
Is testicle bacon bad for you? I'm assuming that because it has some sort of name apparently, that people have eaten it before? Did they die, or..?
My sandwich is getting cold I don't know what to do.
LMAO! I'm sorry.
It's not testicle bacon kid. I'm not going to get into the birds and the bees with you.
Your mom is just saying that it's missing the smell taste because it was raised a certain way and butchered a certain way.
If you don't like the way it smells, don't eat it.
If it's got a slightly sweet smell to it, it's fine. If it smells bad or has a funny color to it, don't eat it.

It's been made abundantly clear that Ten O'Clock is time for Rainbow Six. It is not time for other games! You might think that it is, but it isn't. Don't show up at 10:05! That's not when it is. It is earlier.
Man, this knowledge I am about to lay on you is ancient. This is a truth handed down from parent to child since the dawn of time: when something smells absolutely terrible, get your stupid friend to eat it. You do have a stupid friend, right? You're supposed to!
I think you'll be okay, but when in doubt, throw it out.

Meat that is slightly rancid is usually OK to eat once thoroughly cooked, mind. It may not necessarily be appealing to eat, though.
But yeah, it sounds like you simply weren't accustomed to the smell of the meat. I sometimes worry when I whip out fresh chicken breasts or ground beef, as it will have a very... meat... smell. But I cook it up and everything is fine.
For me there's nothing worse than the smell of mince meat as it's just starting to brown (for like, tacos, or bolognaise sauce) especially if the meat has been in the freezer.
Gross. Once it goes from pink and grey to actually brown, though, it smells awesome.

I decided to ask the internet first.

I agree, if for no other reason than testicle bacon
