WiiHD 2007 ?

The entirely speculative concept of WiiHD has showed up in a few threads already, but I wonder if any of the rumours hold water. Whilst an entirely new console from Nintendo is a bit early to consider just yet, it is likely that we could see a HD upgrade of their current successful console in order to maintain momentum in an increasingly high-definition marketplace.

The following article details what reasons may any plans of Nintendo to pursue a HD version of their existing console, citing the many upgrades and iterations of the Gameboy and DS line of systems.

Reaction to the Wii has been generally positive, but the current line-up of titles have struggled to win critics over in terms of graphical output. Whilst not necessarily Wii2, nor in the league of the X360 or PS3 super-consoles, a high-definition version of the Wii is expected by some to appear in the not-too-distant future.

    No.

There may be a Wii SP at some point, or a Wii Tiny... but the fact of the matter is, without a massive overhaul on the hardware which would increase cost substantially, its not going to happen.

    No.

they have factual errors - "The N64 had it’s RAM Pak which let people play games like Turok 2 and Excitebike 64 in high res. Here though Nintendo ended up splitting the market, with games such as Majora’s Mask and Perfect Dark requiring the upgrade"

Well to play devils advocate, you did need the expansion for multiplayer right?

There are some topics that really don't need to be discussed right now.

An article on a fancy blog with no factual basis or even basic fact-checking is probably one of those things.
