Wassup. Any gaming community leaders want to meet up for some networking and introduction? Figured it would be a great opportunity to meet up with some of you guys and gals while out here in Boston.
That means if you run a popular blog, youtube channel, podcast, show, forum, gaming site, or anything where it's not just your mom posting comments, we should meet up.
A bit about me: I host a show on Justin.tv which ties into our GameOn community forums and I'm also the community manager for the very awesome OMGPOP.com. It would be cool to meet up with other folks who are involved in managing and growing gaming communities.
Whose down?
NOTE: While this is networking, I don't want this to be too business-y, were here to have fun and hang out, so please, no sales pitches and what not. My goal is to get to know some other folks who lead and manage gaming communities.

Would love to meet up at one of the industry parties that are almost certain to happen and talk about the industry, and share our experiences since we've joined. It would be very interesting.
We are still playing around with the idea of running a HCE LAN if people show enough interest.

DDOcast is a podcast about the MMO Dungeons and Dragons Online, published by Turbine. Since Turbine's going to be there, so will its biggest fan-created podcast!
Really looking forward to it and would love to hang out with other podcasters.
We're basically an annual video game music party down in the washington DC area.
Mainly a blog, but we organize local LAN parties as well.
Is there someone working on a time/place?
Maybe the podcasters could all exchange voice work for each other!
My book reviews, twitter, FB.

Either way, an informal chat with like-minded people would be GREAT. Granted I'm not what the OP lays out, but hey, I fish for opportunities where I can. I can do filler reviews, blogs, daily updates, etc. Thanks for your time!
My mom leaves very insightful and constructive comments.
Any ideas as to what, when, or where?
Hey i know i don't have a horse in this race but the Cactus Club Restaurant says they have food and drinks and is open to all ages. Also the margaritas come recommended by a local and its across the street from the con.

There's nothing saying you aren't welcome. In fact, we can try and make it the semi-official hub for networking after the last moments of the show if that is something everyone else is cool with. So long as the food is good, I don't care where we eat XD

Thanks Rdr!
Got it hooked up for a forum I do the art for. A few of us are attending and one of the admins is a machinima director and is in the talks with them to get us to be their representatives.
the forum is forums.zantive.net by the way.
I fear this will be happening to a lot of people, so to schedule it for Sunday evening will have most running off 10 minutes after it starts! I'm actually not leaving Boston until Monday evening, so Sunday is fine for me. I just fear I'll be in the minority.

In the above posts it is being scheduled on Sunday at 730pm at the Cactus Club.

I would love to meet more fellow gamers and people passionate about gaming (and the industry) in general.
Ideally I'd love to end up having a career working in the industry with sales and/or marketing, as that's what I've been working as a career and went to school for.
Anyone is welcome to come, but we're focused on the journalism side of things it seems so it may not be exactly what you are looking for.
We've already set this for Sunday at 7:30 at the Cactus Club. No need to get concerned
