    You know, I don't comminly post in SE++, but even I have to admit that this comic is pretty sub-par today. The writing, I think, is what did it in.

    Comic is good coloring. It is also the fault of the forums for pointing out that Gabe has become Charles.

    Gabe, if you're reading this you really, really need to bring back Charles for the next strip. You can murder him for all I care but how can we have Mac fanaticism without that guy making an appearance?

    He does seem to be gaining a level of sentience beyond his normal level of durrdurrdurr. I enjoy that Gabe and Tycho are topical these days, and I enjoy the evolution of the characters, but I'm kind of on the fence about how much I enjoy it. PvP has been (more or less) an evolving storyline with oh-so-gradual character development. PA has the charm of the eternal jackass friends you know that play games and buy expensive toys and pull absolutely lethal pranks on each other. I mean, how many times have they chopped each others' hands off over that watch? It's slapstick and it's good like that; I just hope that there's a reservoir from which they draw and that it doesn't run dry.

    Then again, nothing lasts forever.
