I bought something as a package deal you could say used. They both require separate registration.. Does it matter what I put as long as both of they total up the entire amount?
Also, I made a trade in this transaction do I need to report anything for that? I did google this and came up with nothing. And the dude at the office was in a hurry as I walked in 5 min before close. So I just signed on the x without asking anymore questions about registering the trailer.
Oh and does anyone know how registering a "home made trailer" works?
Each vehicle would need to be registered and insured independently, in your name. Everything you need to know about registration should be on this page. Even the trailer bit.
Any bill of sale should mention each vehicle (pref by vin) and it's respective value. The tax office doesn't really care how you pay the sales tax on both, as long as it gets paid. You'll have to handle the sales tax, the other party isn't obligated to handle it.
In Leon county the tax/tag/title office is the same place, and you can usually pay the fees at the same time with one check/transaction, not sure how it's handled in other counties.
I don't think you can deduct any sales tax based on what you traded in the transaction, but I'm not really sure.

Good I just wanted to make sure its wasn't fraud because I just wanted to get the ski registered and put a low value to be able to afford it. When I register the trailer I will put the rest of the value I paid and be golden?
