Cross posting this from G&T. I just picked up a PS3 slim, and as the title says, I cannot get it to output at anything other than 480p over HDMI. When I go into the display settings and try to select the other resolutions, The screen goes black for 30 seconds and eventually comes back still outputting at 480p. I have tried resetting the video settings, but it doesn't help. The system is fully updated (3.15). I have no problems getting my 360 to output at 1080p, so I do not know what the problem is...
Any suggestions would appreciated.
EDIT: For those curious, I borrowed another HDMI cable from a friend and it appears to work, so it apparently didn't like my cable.
