Hey guys and gals.
I'm a student at UofT Mississauga. We are hosting a charity event. I'm asking for your help to spread the word and try to donate, that would be awesome. All of the proceeds go directly to Child's Play and we keep none of it for ourselves.
The event is a game's marathon that starts this Tuesday(reading week) and finishes off either Saturday or Sunday depending on how many volunteers we have. Basically, we are trying to finish off as many games in that time as possible. Game platform's range anywhere from the classic Atari to Xbox 360. We are not biased, especially not for charity. It'll be the one week that fanboys put aside their devotions.
The entire event will be streamed live online through our MCS website that I'll link you to at the end of this post. Any information will also be on that website or through the linked Twitter feed. The MCS community at school has worked really hard to make this event successful and helpful to Child's Play. We are hoping you, the community can help us get the word out. I'll be posting this on a few more forums to try and gain some interest.
If you have any questions, please feel free to pm me under this user name. Although I am a new member, I will remain active long past this event. I'll constantly be checking my messages. I will also be looking through this thread for questions as well.
bump, the event starts today and runs till tuesday. the live stream should start soon. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you want to see some real action, check out the live stream anytime after 12. We should be fully set up and running then.
Thanks for the help.
