The Force Unleashed PC vs PS3 version : Just how different are they?

I've been thinking about buying the Force Unleashed because i heard it was a decent chunk of Star Wars fun.
However, I've heard a lot of talk about how its really not that good to get it on PC (for whatever reason), and that a console version is a lot more enjoyable.
My question is that currently, TFU is on sale on Steam for $40 USD, which at current Australian exchange rates, is actually aroundabout $45 AUD. I checked around a few online and local games stores for the PS3 version, and most of them run anywhere from 60-80 AUD for a PS3 version.
Is the console version that much more enjoyable to play that its worth the additional cost (as well as the trouble of having to actually go and buy it instead of just DLing from Steam), or have I just been talking to people who just love consoles and hate PCs?
Did you check EBGames? $50 new, $40 used, for the PS3.

The PC version is pretty awful. By awful, I mean the only performance options it has when you install it is a resolution selection. That's it. And it runs like salty ass on 99% of computers. There is a patch that allows for a "low spec" mode, but it seems to just turn off all the non-essential physics. Oh, and the patch doesn't work on 64 bit systems.
Don't do that to yourself. Find a console version.

All right, people. It is not a gerbil. It is not a hamster. It is not a guinea pig. It is a death rabbit. Death. Rabbit. Say it with me, now.
