Mother fuckers and their fucking flash-only websites. Fuck you.
Their claim of "bigger battles" is pretty interesting. It's hard for me to not get images of Civilization + Total War.. I think I'd die from excitement.
I'd also like to see a slower paced game.. not the sort of game where 100 years pass in a turn in the early game, and 1 year passes in the late game. I know you could mod Civ4 to always be 1 year per turn, but the game wasn't really balanced for it and it played out weird.
Mixed feelings about the hexes. I know they are perhaps more aesthetically pleasing, but since you can move on diagonals they cut down mobility from 8 to 6. Plus I hate not being able to move directly in a cardinal direction.
Edit: More reactions
I hope City States turn out better than Vassal States in Civ IV.
I hope the UI improvements makes managing large armies of troops less tedious (especially if they are "bigger battles than ever")
I hope there are better non-military paths to victory / better non-military aspects in general like a more in depth religion system.

This thread was made 1 minute faster than the other one, but the other one has a nicer OP (which is probably why it took longer). Which one do we choose?
I think it's rather ironic that one day the release of the perfect Civilization game that all previous iterations are working towards will itself be the downfall of actual civilization, due to everyone ceasing to work.

Seriously. When CivIII was released, I "traded" picking it up at launch for working an off-weekend at work. My mom was my boss at the time and she had actually pre-ordered it for me for Christmas (which I ended up getting as part of the trade).
You've ruined my summer as the wait may kill me.
