Will my laptop be able to run Empire: Total War

So, will my laptop be able to rune the game Empire: Total War? Please excuse me, I do not know a lot about computers.

My Specs:

AMD Athlon 64 x2 processor 2.1 GHZ
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 video card (it says up to 1791 MB Hypermemory)
4 GB memory
Windows Vista

Specs required for Empire: Total War:

* Operating System: Windows XP 32(service pack 2), Windows Vista 32 OS.
* Processor: 2.4 GHz Single Core Intel or AMD equivalent processor.
* System Memory: 1GB RAM (XP) 2GB RAM (Vista).
* Graphics Card: 256MB DirectX 9.0c compatible video card (shader 2.0 or higher).
* Sound Card: Directx9.0c compatible sound card.
* Windows compatible mouse & keyboard.
* 15 GB free uncompressed hard drive space.

Now, according to canyourunit.com I should be able to run it just fine. So I downloaded the demo, and sure enough, the demo battle played great, on almost optimal settings. It was just that the loading times were very long. Everytime I went to another screen or changed the settings, I had to wait a couple of minutes. Do you guys have any idea what's up with that? Is it just the demo or will there be a good chance I will have the same problem with the full game. Because those loading times were really way too long. Unnaturally long.

Thanks in advance!

    Can You Run It?

    I win the thread.

Edit: CYRI just tells you whether you can run the game, not how well it will run. I always turn all games down to minimum settings on my laptop, and when Canyourunit says I can do it, it works just fine on minimum settings.

You're playing on a laptop, you're not gonna be able to play Dragon Effect: Legacy of Kain VII on it without some slowdown.

The demo for E:TW is notoriously glitchy and poor performing, and is is, overall, not a great benchmark to the retail game. The game has received quite a bit of patching since and it runs better than it did at release.

That said, it's still a damned hog, and while the OP's machine should be able to run it, it's not going to be at an ideal performance level. I can imagine it'll be playable, though.

I would have no qualms with running it on low settings, I just want the goddamn loading times to be shorter than 5 minutes.

Like I said, the demo has some severe issues (in fact, the demo flat out stalled during loading screens the first time I ran it), unless they've updated the code last I checked. The retail load times are more manageable. Honestly, there's no real way of telling how it'll fair on your computer though, considering how squirrely the game engine is in general, and plus the game just flat-out has epic loading times to begin with. That's all I can really give you, sorry.

The retail game loads ridiculously slow on my mid-to-low quality machine and fairly slow on my high end machine. As much as I love Total War, I usually opt to auto the battles simply because the load times are so terrible.

I had a laptop probably a generation or two back from yours and it was more or less unplayable as I revealed more and more of the map.

You get to a point with so many units in and shit in play that the laptop turns into a hot chunk of magma.

You should probably just wait until Napoleon: Total War comes out in like 4 hours and everyone abandons E:TW.
