Hey, I haven't found any gaming blogs that I am really into yet. Do you guys have reccomendations for gaming blogs that might approach things from a more intellectual or erudite perspective? Thanks

I don't know about blogs, exactly...but the few people in the game media industry that I enjoy listening to are...
I don't really care about their taste in games or anything like that, really. It has everything to do with personality and how their personalities blend together. I couldn't care less about the major podcasts you see on IGN that taper toward specific platforms and all that bullshit.
Well, I joined to ask a question to people that I thought could help me. I figured that it was quicker than reading whatever popped up on google for several days before i decided if I liked it or not. Its expedient. I guess I necessarily plan on participating in a ton of other discussions, but I'm not planning on spamming as I understand the term either. Although, I guess if posting when you have a low post count is discouraged and thought of as spamming,I suppose you wouldn't really want me to participate in other discussions.
but you seem to be a real person who is actually reading comments, not this time I guess!
usually someone else with 1 post conveniently shows up in the thread two minutes later with a post like "I notice you looking for a blog with gaming for all my gaming nwes i go to this great site at buttfuckpress dot org"
personally i don't really read much about "gaming" beyond joystiq once in a blue moon

You're being too reasonable. Most people here don't like that sort of thing.

It's a familiar setup is all. Somebody joins and asks "what is a great website for X" and the second account joins and posts "well website Z is great for X" but here's the rub: poster 1 and poster 2 are the same person who runs website Z.
dang, spambot likes to start fights. that's a new trick.
This is a new breed of spambot, it racked up 2,500 posts and even got itself an animated avatar before spamming it's website. I'm not sure how we can combat this.

Oh, that makes sense. yeah, i can see why you would think that.
Honestly spencer, if you want better suggestions, maybe make this thread in games and technology. You'll find people much more eager to post blogs and helpful suggestions there than here.
Not to say these aren't all fine people, they are. But it's that time of the month around here and unless you're bring chocolate and grays anatomy dvd's, you're gonna have to face down a lot of sour ladies.

I am a fucking legend.
edit:
I bet you'd love Sean Malstrom
Giantbomb is excellent.
It's the only podcast around anymore that reminds me of the GFW Radio magic. Bitmob is close, but it feels a bit sterile.

Six posts, joined today... sounds about right.

This is no ordinary spambot.
I'm raising the threat level to orange.

Regardless, I wouldn't mind discussing the OPs topic anyway.

Macfags need not reply
Unless you hate upgrades.
and I had just gotten used to threat level turquoise
Vista was an upgrade.
so there's that.
Windows 7 is fantastic. I think you'll like it.
or at least, more pleased than you presumably were with vista

I need more pads too. Heavy flow and all.
