I know this happens to a few people and it randomly happens to me but it's becoming more frequent and drives me crazy in Modern Warfare.

Basicly whats happening is my controller is randomly drifting to the left. When sniping its massively appearent when lining up a long shot and everything is slowly drifting to the left. Sometimes tapping the left stick will get it to stop but then it will come back randomly after moving. With Bad Company right around the corner I was wondering if anyone had any tips for me to stop this or if my only option would be to get a new controller?

It is a Wireless controller so I don't know if a corded controller would make a diffrence. But any tips on how to try and get this to stop would be greatly appreciated.

While I'm not sure about 360 controllers, I know that Playstation and N64 controllers would 'default' to a position if you held it that way when starting the console. So it may just be as simple as you holding the stick a certain direction(left) when starting up the 360.

One of my 360 controllers does the same thing. The others are perfectly fine. We call that controller "Drifty Steve" and it is reserved for guests.
Like I said, with 3 Xboxes and about 7 controllers in the house, this is the only one that has that characteristic.

So probably just a controller thats wearing out then. Maybe I'll try a corded controller. I don't sit that far away from my Xbox so the Wireless feature isn't a big deal.

Either wearing out or not worn in. Mine did this right out of the box.
