Yeah, it's vastly improved over the original. The economy is different, there are no more useless units, instead you just build units and upgrade the shit out of them with stuff from a research tree, you can even upgrade buildiings, lots of badass experimentals, both major and minor, and more. They pretty much streamlined it and are focusing on actually getting in there and fighting people instead of spending an hour sitting in your base building up an army.
It also looks better than the first one, while running better too. I could play the first one with maxed out settings but it would stutter occasionally but in this one I can max it out and it's silky smooth all the time.

Ahaha didn't they originally say something about how, since they are going to be smaller episodes, they would be able to put them out once a year or shorter?
