JRPG's for the DS/GBA

So I took the plunge and bought Summon Night: Swordcraft Story 2 and Yggdra Union for the GBA. Now with this, it seems I have started my GBA/DS JRPG Collection. *Sigh* I see more games on my list.

So from this list am I missing anything?

GBA:
Fire Emblem
Super Robot Taisen 2
Tales of Phantasia

DS:
FullMetal Alchemist: Dual Sympathy
Harvest Moon DS
InuYasha Secret of the Divine Jewel
Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja
Lunar Knights
Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime
Deep Labyrinth
Lost In Blue 2
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles -- Ring of Fates
Magical Starsign
Spectrobes
Etrain Odyssey

This list includes soon to be released games as well. You may notice that Final Fantasy is missing. Well unless I am mistaken, I have all of the games (1 - 6) already on the PS1 and it seems not wise to buy the same games. Unless I am mistaken?

About Final Fantasy: Firstly, FF 3 has a complete graphical overhaul. It is at the core the same game, yet the graphics are quite nice.
I have FF 1&2 for the GBA, and I beleive there are some differences between it and the PS versions.

    Golden Sun 1/2
    Pokemon games?
    Mega Man Battle Network series
    Summon Night: Swordcraft Story

Zoids Legacy for the GBA. It's pretty decent for a JRPG.

Riviera on GBA. It's a love-it-or-hate-it game but so is Yggdra Union and Sting made both games.

    you are mistaken

you dont have III at all

and the other 5 have had some significant improvements including extras like dungeons or classes or weapons or whatever

    and most importantly a plot/dialogue overhaul/cleanup

    some graphical improvements as well

    GBA:

CIMA : The Enemy (amazing hybrid of SRPG/Action-RPG/Lemmings)

Shin Megami Tensei : DemiKids (more Pokemon from hell than SMT
Nocturne is, and it even got an E rating)

    Phantasy Star Collection

    Sigma Star Saga

    Rebelstar Tactical Command

    DS:

    Lunar : Dragon Song
(But skip it. And it hurts to say this as a die-hard Lunar fan, but it's really, really disappointing.)

So it is basically the same game just changed text, graphics and a couple of freebies (extra classes etc), but doesn't deviate from the story. I don't know I am still iffy.

Thanks for the suggestions. This all goes on my list.

Final Fantasy IV and V are worth owning despite having the PS1 versions. Final Fantasy IV's extra content is awesome and although V is nothing compared to it, it's new translation more than makes up for it.

Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis is probably one of the most rewarding experiences on the GBA.

FFIII was only ever on the Famicom, never released in NA. The story in the first was pretty basic, but it's been fleshed out in this edition.

Yeah seriously. Where the fuck is this game?

I loved PoR and all (and am looking forward to the sequel), but I really want to see some high quality 2D turn based strategy action on the DS.

Other GBA JRPG's (not necessarily good, but thye exist):

Breath of Fire I and II
Lunar Legend (I think that's what this game was called)

In no way whatsoever, and you have the name wrong. It's Phantasy Star COLLECTION, and it's the JRPGs that were on the ol' Genesis/MegaDrive, not the weird Action-MMORPG that PSO was. The two aren't even related; PSC is a group of much more traditional JRPGs.

It's worth noting that the Genesis Collection for PS2 has arguably the better selection of Phantasy Star II, III and the coveted IV. On the other hand, the GBA collection gives you JRPGing on the go, which is my personal preference.

Not really JRPGs, but Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga (GBA) and Mario and Luigi Partners in Time (DS) are fun.

If you like shooters, I second Sigma Star Saga.

Contact (DS) shouldn't be missed either.

    Mega Man Battle Network 1-6

If Fire Emblem and FFTA are getting counted as jrpgs and not srpgs... Super Robot Taisen OG 1 and 2.

Opps I read it wrong. Yeah I do have the phantasy star collection for the PS2. Sorry about that.

So far thanks for all of your suggestions. This list is growning by the second. I don't know when or even how I will be able to finish it.
