The Future

Ok, so we aren't hunting down pre-crimes yet(or are we?), but there is still some pretty crazy stuff going on in the world of technology.

Like, for instance, shoving the energy output of a coal power station into a small box, or upgrading our data infrastructure .

Some technology becomes so popular that it transitions into our life so deeply that we wonder how we ever lived without them

Some inventions don't work out so well

and some were invented a long time ago!

But old or new or flops or hover cars, talk about all of your tech interests in here.

If you have tech related questions that is cool too. I'll try to keep this thread up to date with the biggest topics and sources. Here is a list of sites that I like

All Tech Considered
- This is a really casual tech blog, but I love NPR and they seem to go out of their way to pick stories that most news outlets aren't talking about.

Wired - Is an obvious choice but I figured I'd get it out of the way. It can have pretty good articles and rundowns of how stuff works, though.

Slashdot - Is like Digg but only tech and science news stories. This can be a good site for seeing out of the way info, but that also makes it more unreliable.

Engadget - I don't really keep up with this site day to day, but I use their reviews when I'm looking at new purchases.

Tech Report - Is pretty much only computer parts reviews, but is great for their breakdowns and comparison reviews.

Ars Technica
- Has (from what I've seen) great commentary on tech stories and also good product reviews.
