I just spoke with Charleys and they have a reservation for us at 10am on Sunday. I recommend bringing cash and please remember that your bill will be an extra 25% on top of the cost of your food (18% gratuity, 7% tax).
Like I said before, I'm sorry if this time doesn't work perfectly for everyone but even if you can't stay for long stop by, say hi and have a cup o' joe to get your day started! If you haven't already responded but want to attend just let me know. The reservation is at 30 right now and they said they could accommodate more as long as I give them a heads up.
I'd be interested, but the City of Heroes panel is at 11:30 and I'm not missing that. :? Actually I'd have to check my schedule to see when I am free; I think my Saturday's pretty packed! Sunday is more open -- I think I only have one panel that day.

As far as venues, Charley's on Newbury Street has brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am to 2 pm (although I'm hoping to go to the Bill Amend panel, so I'm not sure I could do an earlier brunch on Saturday either):

I wouldn't mind some girl time, besides, I don't know many gamer girls out there. Unfortunately, like Liger, I'd have to wait on my E schedule to come out. So... til then.
sounds fun. I know some girls from my clan and the frag dolls are going to be there, but it'd be nice to hang out with other girls too! I want to play in the halo tourney and watch one of my friends on a panel friday night but im basically free anytime saturday!
Count me in as well. I'm also very familiar with the area, so I'm more than willing to help with that aspect. I'm also fairly certain my other female friend would love to go, too.
I'd recommend Friday before things kick off, or maybe one of the evenings, go out for drinks (if everyone's 21+) and if not, we can find a good restaurant around to head to. Goodness knows there's plenty.
I'd also prefer a day other than Sunday (unless it's the morning) given I have to go in to work Sunday. But that's just me, no biggie if it doesn't work
I really like this brunch idea. An elegant meal, for a more civilized time.
Looking at my schedule, my Sunday morning is clear, so just to toss the suggestion out there, maybe 9 or 10 am at the Trident? It's a relatively short walk from the convention center -- just a quick hop over to Newbury Street, more or less. And they have challah bread French toast, which is freaking delicious.
What they don't have is meat, though, so if you're craving bacon (and I admit I enjoy some bacon), Charley's might be a better choice. Both seem about in the same price range; expect to spend, oh, $15-$25 or so on brunch, I'd say, based on the menus.
A buffet-style brunch might be better if we have a large group, but I'm not aware of any in the immediate area...I'll take another look.

Yeah, I could *maybe* do something Friday morning, but my schedule's packed until Sunday.

Sadly my first thought when I read this was "I bet a ton of guys are going to show up just because it's going to be all gals". I would join you all but I'm going to be too busy keeping my guys out of trouble to spend some time to myself. I hope you have a good time though
Bayr: I'm a bit worried about the same thing. But I trust that the PAX girls are a strong bunch of chicks who can heap scorn and shame upon any creeps who try. Rule #1, don't be a dick. Being a creepy skeeze == being a dick.

I'd be down for this It might be nice to meet earlier so we could actually hang out some during the convention - but my schedule is wide open, so I can join whenever. I'm from the area too so if you need any help related to that, let me know. Also PAX girls, and any gamer girls for that matter can hold their own against skeezy guys, it comes with the territory.
I don't think it'll be a huge deal, and if guys do show up to harass us, we can get the restaurant staff involved -- I'm sure they won't want anyone antagonizing paying customers. But, really, I'm not expecting anything like that to happen. It's childish and totally pointless since most of us will be at the con anyway. It's not like we're some vanishing species that only appears at certain times of day at an isolated watering hole.

I'm gonna go with - most guys won't give a shit and the creep-shows who would bother you are most likely so socially awkward that they wouldn't know how to approach you anyway. Then again, maybe I'm giving PAX-goers too much credit.
Enjoy your brunch. You'll want to get a reservation. Stephanie's on newbury is pretty popular, Abe&Louies on Boylston is pretty good too ...
Trident might be a little tough depending on how many people end up going, just worth keeping in mind

This. Pretty much all of these points are true. Especially how busy brunch will be, you'll want to make reservations.
Good point. The Trident is small, and a reservation will be good in any event. We'll want to get a headcount and settle on a time by at least a few days before the con, I imagine -- I don't know what the lead time on reservations for all these places are, but Sunday brunch tends to be a popular meal for any restaurant.

Okay, it looks like Sunday morning works best for people.
Charley's looks like a cool place so lets plan to meet there Sunday at 10am for the PAX Ladies Brunch. Remember to bring cash if at all possible so we don't totally break our server.
Let me know if you'll be coming so I can give the restaurant a heads up on how many of us will be descending on them.
I know this doesn't work for everyone but that's just how it goes at PAX. I'll be posting my pics eventually in the cam whore thread so any of you chicas see me wandering around be sure to say hi!

There's also the Trident, also on Newbury Street, open from 8 am to midnight daily; they serve breakfast at all hours, among other things.
