So my mom has been trying to replace an old cordless phone with a new one but we keep running into the same problem. Whenever we use the cordless phone, we get an echo coming from it. Like I'll say Hello and then a split second later I can hear a soft echo of the hello. It's pretty annoying since we've bought and refunded 3 new phones for that precise problem. We do have wifi in the house but the old cordless didn't have any problems with it. Anyone got an idea what's causing it and what we should look for in a new phone?
If the phones that you had before had a broadcast frequency of 2.4GHz, get one that has a frequency of 5GHz.
I guess that 2.4GHz is still pretty common, and commonly run into interference with WiFi signals.
5GHz phones can be subject to interference, but from what I understand, they run on different channels so it's not as common.
If the phone was 5GHz, I'm pretty much out of ideas at this point.
