High Quality Webcams

I am looking for a webcam with a high quality picture and a good framerate that I can use with ustream. It will be used to watch people painting (oil painting) so the quality needs to be good enough that people can tell what is going on. Anybody have experience with a webcam like this?

My experience with webcams is that lighting is at times a bigger factor than the webcam quality. My webcam is really good, but it always looks better when I use it in the morning rather than at night.

I bought the Microsoft LifeCam Cinema Web Cam, it's got a really good image quality, and is better in lowlight than my previous webcam. It can display really high resolutions as long as your videocard can handle them, and it has a little rubber base that you can attach to the top of a flat screen monitor.

It has a built in microphone, but I've never used it so I can't say if its good or not.



The only complain I receive is that the auto focus feature will sometimes kick in at random times.

Random note: My GF's Mac Power Book has a built in web cam that is 800x better than mine. I've never seen such a good web cam.

Cool, I actually ended up ordering that exact camera last night. Lighting shouldn't be an issue since he will be painting and needs good light to do that.

Interesting the power book has such a good webcam. They should sell those separately.
