Ziggy Stardust: Glam me up!

So there's this party in Brooklyn on Saturday (Glamtech) that I'd like to go in costume to, problem is I don't know where to start in creating/purchasing one. I imagine an assortment of chrome colored skin tight clothing with a bright red wig would suffice, but I want something a little more inspired if possible.

From the wiki itself: GlamTech is a party. GlamTech is Disorient's style. GlamTech is a statement. GlamTech is a state of mind. GlamTech is mirror balls and strobe lights chopped up and remixed in a big poof of playa dust: techno-disco, burner style. Blinky, reflective, silver, lasers: think 80s club dancers facing off against 70s glam rockers at Thunderdome.

If that inspires anyone, throw your costume/makeup ideas at me! Budget is around the $100 dollar range. Ideally less, of course.

Help me not be that one odd dude out wearing jeans. Cheers!

Just to clue you in, that party has NOTHING to do with "70s Glam". It's a rave basically. Did you actually read the music they're playing? You're going to look like a ponce if you show up in costume. Just because they drop "70s glam rockers" into the description doesn't mean it's going to even slightly resemble that. Do yourself a favor and don't go overboard.

If you REALLY must insist on this, go to American Apparel or something. They have some awful metallic leggings/leotards/whatever...

Buy glitter, mix with lotion, rub all over body.
Be warned, glitter takes forever to remove and you will always find it in your house.
