This is a good thread to end the day with.
Nightwing's last costume is brilliant in its simplicity:
And that his back seemingly has a magnet to stick his billy clubs to. Practical, and dark enough yet a bit of color to make him look like a superhero. And I like how the blue runs all the way through to his fingers.
And Impulse has a simple yet nice costume:
And here's a bad one, Jim Lee is for the most part good with redesigns but not this one:
Probably my favorite Wonder Woman costume is found in the "Ends of the Earth" story arc, which is also the best of Simone's run on Wonder Woman. Specifically, I'm talking about the one on the left with the hood.
And here's one for the laughs. Electric Superman. The epitome of the 90s.
Oh and here's one more that I loved and wish that they would have kept around for a whole lot longer than they did. The Iron Spider suit.

Here's Superboy's current costume. I think it's terrible looking (but is drawn nicely here by Francis Manapul). Hey Conner, how was the concert?
I don't think the black works for a Superman family member. You line up him, Superman, Supergirl, and Krytpo and he sticks out like a sore thumb. It's too casual looking. I also don't like him being so big and bulky these days. I think that's part of Geoff Johns' ploy to make him more like Superman (combined with gaining all of Superman's powers in like a day)
Here's my redesign. I stuck with the t-shirt idea, but changed it up to be more Superman-looking and also since Kon likes to follow the style trends, I went with current t-shirt culture trends (big designs that cover the whole shirt). I also made it a ringer-tee to add in some yellow. The pants are actually "superhero" material, like Superman's, since making them darker jeans conflicts with the light-blue shirt and making them light-blue jeans makes it look like he's wearing a jean-shirt and he's not a middle-aged dad yet. Throw in some red sneakers. He's also slimmer!
Traced over this picture (which I think is a pretty cool costume but doesn't fit the character anymore)

Kon needs an accessory of some sort. Something to add a bit more visual appeal to his outfit. Sadly, I don't have any suggestions for what sort of accessory he should wear.

He should get a costume like this. Then him and Red Robin can be horribly dressed together.

Yeah, I was thinking that as well. Which is probably why he has the leather wristband in his current costume. Visually it makes sense, but seriously who wears those anymore?

Super-family can wear black when it is subtle, like when Superman had black on his emblem after Our Worlds at War:
Or like Supergirl's mom currently has (one of the best costumes made int he past 5 years):
But the real question is which Supergirl outfit of them all is the best?:
The answer is the one furthest to the right, rockin that headband like she was Tawny Kitaen.
And finally for the night, Gravity has a good design that looks like something an aspiring teen hero would wear:

It's the Eradicator, from Superman. It's drawn by Karl Kerschel there (from that Majestic mini series I think), and reflects the Byrne-style Kryptonian outfits. It's cool.
I like how every single Thunderbolts redesign was a huge improvement. It's a shame we don't get to see the Meteorite costume anymore, and that Citizen V is now some guy who never does anything.
I agree. They tend to either have a great star-type effect like Quasar which makes them look really elegant and futuristic, or their cool military type uniforms such as what the Guardians wear a lot of the time. New Adam Warlock is another example of a costume which looks great and supports the character. Sure hope he comes back after or during the Thanos thing, I thought his powers, his philosophical musings and his presence in the cosmic scene was great and cut all too short (I started with Annihilation, you see, so to me his re-emergence was the first time I'd seen him).
Surprising no one, I'm a huge fan of Beetle and Booster's costumes.
On Beetle's, I really like the use of large, bold black lines that ring his gloves, shorts, and boots, and create his symbol. I also like how said symbol extends all the way around his body, with the beetle legs protruding down his chest, back, and shoulders. Though unlike in Wieringo's version, I prefer the logo to be squared off at the legs and mandibles, rather than rounded or pointy. I just think it's more striking. But overall, the costume's just very simple and clean, which I think is what most superhero costumes need to be.
Ditto for Booster. The use of two basic colors, gold and blue (or gold and black sometimes), and his minimal accessories make it a pretty swell costume. Also, fuck the haters, because I love that collar.
I may also be in the minority, but I love Guy Gardner's old costume.
Only Guy would put his giant "G" logo on both his boots and his leather jacket. However, Guy has been plagued by some truly awful costumes. Case in point?

Which isn't to say it's bad. I like the yellow trim. I just think Kon should be a little more distinct.

Which is a feminine version of Superman's costume. Coincidence? Or uniformity?

I also really like the short-lived Superwoman costume. I guess Superwoman is done now?

She's never had a good costume (Cassie, anyway). This one is her best and it's not even good

That's what Songbird used to look like?
I wonder what came first to her, the horrible costume or name.
It's the worst of the 90's, LIVE!

3DS FC: 4699-5714-8940 Playing Pokemon, add me! Ho, SATAN!
Oh yes, this costume is fucking ace.
And so is this one. Quasar never had the best costumes but lately they've got a whole lot better.
And now for Jean Grey in the best costume she ever wore. Simplistic, striking and elegant.
I've always thought Batman had a great design.
And here is Citizen V's costume:
But the most important character, USAgent has a good standard uniform:
But I liked his New Invaders uniform the best:
Also worth mentioning is Union Jack has a cool practical costume as well.
And then, USAgent's terrible no good costumes, hidden behind spoilers because of the shame:

What is up with her ankles?
Just bad art.
chair to Creation and then suplex the Void.
Eh, I never cared much for the one-piece neck and cape section. I preferred the 'S' pins on the cape, personally.
or duh:
there were a lot of good ones as well, like Connor Hawke:
The best Batman ever:
When Nightcrawler shaved his head:
And the Ray:
You can't unsee it.
