I'm having some trouble with the sound on my computer, an Acer Aspire 7738G. The sound is distorted, and it sounds a bit like the speakers are broken (they're not, since the sound works perfectly soometimes, and sometimes not).
I thought of updating my sound card drivers, does this sound like a good idea? I'm not very good at computers, and I don't really know how to do this. I run Windows 7, by the way. The sound card is called (I believe) Realtek Digital Output. How should I proceed if I want to update the drivers?
For support for anything Acer you can hit support.acer.com. For your sound drivers, just click drivers and downloads. At the next screen, click Notebooks > Aspire > 7738G, and then you'll see the realtek driver package. I'd post a link to the file, but it won't let me copy the link unfortuntately.
