I to am "enjoying" the weather in Houston. So much so I am leaving on Monday. Hopefully delays in other parts of the country will not keep me here longer than I have to be.

It is currently 48 here in the bay. This is fucking freezing especially if you have a passion for MC's like I do. While riding I can expect a wind chill to put the temp around 30 degrees on the highway.

Tomorrow is a big ride up to a local observatory. If I freeze to death sacrifice 3 yaks upon the morn.

I live in Bothell (thirty minutes from Seattle) and we have been getting a goodly amount of snow for Washington (goodly of course meaning about one and a half inches) which is apparently enough to cancel school for a day, then the day after when its all melted anyway.

Its been snowing pretty steady here, not like intense snow or anything, just a mellow steady fall of flakes. I hate it when it doesn't stick to the road though, it just ruins the whole white, softened, winter wonderland.

well, two days ago here is was 71F and yesterday it sleeted and only got to 26F and i dont think were supposed to climb out of freezing temperatures til late tuesday.. until then im stuck in my dorm room with nothing to do except watch the NFL with weather interuptions every 10 minutes telling me not to drive

Seattle's weather has been batshit lately. I've been out of school since Wednesday due to snow. This the first year I've ever seen it snow before Thanksgiving. In fact, my school administrators had to move finals back to next week because we "don't have the requisite number of review and curriculum days for the semester". We've missed 6 days of school just due to snow. It hasn't actually been that bad of a storm (only about one to two inches, even though it snowed all day today here), it's just that Seattle drivers immediately kick into stupid mode when they see a solitary flake. Seriously, people abandoned their cars when it snowed an inch, and my Brit Lit teacher slept in his car because he was "Too afraid to drive".

In conclusion, fuck the snow.

my friend came up from LA, and he definitely got a bad impression of what Seattle is all about

I havnt seen snow in 11 months. I live in San Diego. When it gets cloudy out car crashes happen every hour. When it rains just a drizzle the beaches are closed, all low laying valleys are evacuated, and a car crash happens every block. When it rains more than a half an inch all of the oompa music mysteriously stops, wooden objects melt, mothers cry, babies drown, and a car crashes into my house.

Fucking California drivers.

A blizzard would (hopefully) kill about half the population here.

Shit was crazy, I was in West Seattle so i only had no power for 3 days

MY friend though, his dad's house was in this backass part of redmond so they were out for a few days past that. He just crashed at my place till they had power.

Yeah, I live in Maple Valley, right next to Issaquah Hobart Rd. They didn't have repair crews out there until later, and even when they had fixed the broken poles down my street, they couldn't turn the power on until they had more lines fixed up stream because I live literally less than a mile from a substation.
