So i saw Lucky Number Slevin yesterday.
Good film, i suppose.
But i was actually a little disturbed by a scene towards the end, wich is somthing that hasn't happend to me in a very long time. Normally i have a pretty good tolerance for violence or disturbing imagery.
But
[spoiler:9ab42d33f5]When Slevin (stupid as fuck name by the way) duct tapes Morgan Freeman and Ben Kingsley to chairs, tells them everything that has been going on so that they're all "omgwtf" and then puts plastic bags over their heads and says "Fuck you both" before taping it shut around their necks. [/spoiler:9ab42d33f5]
The way this scene was played really got to me. There was no chilling music to it, it wasnt shot in any stylish way, it was just shots of the two guys [spoiler:9ab42d33f5]suffocating to death. [/spoiler:9ab42d33f5]
Maybe i have a deep unrealised claustrophobia or fear of
that kind of thing or some shit.
My friends all said it was an awesome way to end it, and that they enjoyed the scene. And that kind of got to me a little too.
So yeah, im a pussy i guess.
lots of films got to me as a kid though, specifically things like that film about the alligator coming out of the sewer into a party and eating waitresses, or when it ate that dude who couldnt get into the Limo in time. Or seeing the crushed dog underneath all that rubble in Starship Troopers. (i was teen then though)
But being freaked out as a kid is normal.
And i'm sure everyone has the same distrubing memories of their early times having a jolly old jaunt on the internet and coming across a picture of a guys ass with shit flying out everywhere, or foolishly taking their friends advice to visit
www.gorypicturesandstuff.com and regretting it for five years afterwards.
Have you been disturbed recently SE?
Posts
i want to watch the rest
how's that going for you?
I don't really know any disturbing pictures out there that I haven't seen, thanks to the internet. I got used to that stuff.
I can handle them being shot, dropped off building, eaten by animals... but cutting them gets me very upset.
So was Children of Men.
In the last creepy thread, someone linked to a site about this film.
Sounds pretty creepy.
i hear slevin is good, but i was at the movies with a chick, and i really only paid attention to the beginning and the end
it seemed annoying and stupid, of what i saw
i even watched some bits in the middle but i think she saw and got kind of upset
I saw this recently, in a documentry about aliens encounters and coverups etc.
Some people still think that film is real.
Some people also think this is real
thank you quiznos
Steam
i'd like to disturb your shit, cutiepie
MY SHIT KNOWS NO BOUNDS
Haha.
in American History X
[spoiler:652c49e3a4]the ass rape scene[/spoiler:652c49e3a4]
I felt so violated
I know, isn't that awesome
Curb stomp was worse
not for me, the guy was obviously not moving and unconscious
i mean it would suck but it didn't really affect me
but in jackass 2 when party boy [spoiler:ffd4a68ed7]drinks the horse come[/spoiler:ffd4a68ed7] i didn't think it was going to be such a big deal but i was so close to puking, uncontrolled
i never felt like that in my life when i was so disgusted with something that i almost vomited
Note: ass rape Shujin Katana
AHX has pretty strong moments but isn't a graphic movie overall
Exactly.
i would say sin city and many other movies are more graphic
not more disturbing, just more graphic
Right. Irreversible is up there with others in the graphic department. But to me it is the king of disturbing.
or something.
...
sounds hot
I think theres also something to do with a guys face and a fire extinguisher
too lazy to crop
9 Min rape = extended brutality
Also, a lot of Takashi Miike scenes come to mind, from Audition's torture scene to Ichi The Killer's torture scene. Its a mix of gross and funny that is awesome.
Basically, many Asian films that get a big rep in America contain gross out scenes. Its awesome.
I wish I could forget again
