Firefox 3.6: Won't remember any new passwords?

Long and short of it is this:

I was running Windows 7 RC1. I backed up my data to a second HDD, including my Firefox favorites/profile. I did a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium retail over the RC1 installation. I then installed Firefox and imported my Firefox profile. My new profile (I assume it is autogenerated when you install Firefox) had a different name than my old one. Also, my old version of Firefox was 3.5 and my new one is 3.6.

It seems that one (or more) of my actions have caused me to be unable to update or add new passwords in my password manager. That little bar comes up at the top asking if I want Firefox to remember the new password, but clicking "YES" does nothing. The bar remains and the password does not get saved.

I should note that OLD passwords still DO work as per my old profile. I just can't add or change any passwords.

Heeeeeeeeeeeelp.
