The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
I was looking around my various game sale sites and found that gogamer.com was selling the Baldur's Gate II collection for only $7.09 US.
Due to the amount of salivating that goes on in these forums for the game (and well deserved salivating I may add) I thought I should share the deal with everyone.
I just recently bought this for 10 pounds. Since I've yet to play any of them, hey; bonus. Also grabbed the "NWN with all expansions" set while I was at it.
I'd really like to get my hands on the Forgotten Realms Deluxe collection, but it's not sold in the US (because apparently PC gamers in the US are all stuck with CD drives or something).
If I buy this, will I be able to play cooperative multiplayer over the LAN with just this one copy?
You're better off not doing so even if you could, Baldurs Gate isn't really the best game for multiplayer. It's not quite so combat focused so other plays may find themselves often doing nothing as you run around talking.

I guess I'll have to skip it altogether then, since I'm not looking for a single player time sink at the moment (or probably any moment for that matter).

Thanks a bunch for the heads up.
Pity. Baldurs Gate is really one of the best games out there. Neverwinter Nights and some of the custom modules made for it might be more what you're looking for if multiplayer is what you're after though.
Thanks, OP. I've been looking for an excuse to pick this up since my original copy (sans expansion) was lost. This is almost as good as the time I got Torment, Giants: Citizen Kabuto and Fallout 1&2 for like $10 total from that one site awhile back. Anyone who has not experienced this game should buy this now.
We have had many requests to ship items overseas, not including Canada. Shipping internationally can be a challenge for many reasons, so as a general policy we do not ship outside the United States.
We are contacted almost daily from Canadians who would like to shop at GoGamer. We appreciate your enthusiasm and we are investigating methods by which to ship items to Canada. Canada can be difficult to ship to because of the duties, fees and taxes that are levied on the purchaser by the Canadian government when a package arrives. We are investigating methods to ship to Canada. If our current policy changes we will certainly announce it.

Also, I love myself for having stored my BG2 save files on my Gmail.

I need to do this I have my save files on a CD. I thought I lost it for a couple of months too.

"We do not ship to P.O. Boxes, international addresses, APO and FPO addresses."
1) Gives the other player a chance to talk about the RP side of the game, what answers are given.
2) Avoid ye olde "melee character running into the fireball gag" that happened 5 times when i first did BG II multiplayer with a friend.

Even then, there are better ways to spend your LAN time.
but don't let that stop you from taking advantage of this ridiculous deal!
I still feel its a better one player game.
