So I've been getting endless amounts of trouble with my laptop. It's an HP DV7 and it's latest beef has been with CIV IV. It gives me CRC errors when installing when the disc work on my desktop, and then to top it off, when it's finaly done installing, I go to load it up and it acts like it's load, my resolution changes, and then it blinks, changes back, and nothing. Usualy no error message or anything, it just does not load.
So can anyone help me or should i succumb to the urge to throw my laptop out the window.
The only problem I can help with is the same problem I had to troubleshoot myself. My monitor didn't support the default resolution (800 x 600) and CIV IV wouldn't run. You can try looking in the config files (I think they are somewhere under MyDocuments) and try changing the resolution to fit the one on your laptop.
