Hi H/A,

My parents recently switched ISPs (AT&T -> Comcast) and connection type (DSL -> cable). Since the DSL modem/router box doesn't work anymore, I advised them to pick up an Airport Extreme to act as the hub of the wireless network. Right now, here's the setup:

COAXIAL CONNECTION FROM WALL --> Comcast Mystery Box --> ETHERNET --> Airport Extreme WAN port

Airport Extreme LAN port 1 --> ETHERNET --> Windows XP box

Airport Extreme wireless --> MAGIC --> MacBook (mine)

The mystery here that I don't get is that the PC isn't getting a connection. I tried rerouting it so that my MacBook was connected to the same port on the AirPort with the same cable--and with the wifi on the MacBook turned off, I was able to get Internet.

Is there some trick here that I'm just not getting? The network is open on the AirPort Extreme, so I don't think it's a password issue.

Never mind, figured it out (while resolving a BSOD problem earlier, I accidentally shut off some services in msconfig that were needed to make the connection).
