Monkeyjam software problem

So i've been using this freeware program called Monkeyjam to do my Storyboarding homework assignment that's due by eight tonight. I started working on it at ten this morning, and actually wrapped it up at around 3-ish today. All that's left is to export the file as an .avi and we're set.

Every time I try and do this, the finished product won't play in anything. Not a single video program will take it.

I would really hate to fail my Storytelling class because of this, so I could really use some help. I'm using the latest version of the program if that helps anyone.

Does anyone here have some experience with the program who could assist me?

    Does VLC accept it?

If not, try G-Spot to find out what codec it's encoded in and see if that's what you're missing.

Am I supposed to run the program itself through it, or the .avi file?

Because if it's the latter, G-Spot says that i'm not required to pick up a codec, but the program just won't play it.

Well, I somehow got the avi to play the audio, but no video, which is more dire.

EDIT: Also, VLC will "accept" it, but only play the audio, or again, nothing at all.
