The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
I didn't go but hearing about it sounded awesome. I'm sure its old news (and I'm not sure if they explained this) but it was basically a modified throw back to the Nintendo World Championships. Something I was wondering if they would ever do.
Need a video of this, sad I missed out.

Yeah if someone wants to explain the madness, I'd love to hear it. All I know from twitter is that it was a rely across 4 nes games?

Yeah from what i hear it was (almost) exactly like the NWC but a team relay: SMB collect 50 coins, rad racer 1500 points, tetris 10 lines, and the PAX addition of defeating the last contra boss.

Actually it was the end boss of the first stage for contra.
But yeah that battle was pretty epic. Wish I could have recorded it instead of yelling to the right team at how poorly he was collecting coins!
Two players on each team, they switched off between the first three and then co-op through Contra first boss (w/ contra-code).
Unfortunately due to the ancientness of the NES systems there were two glitches that caused a total redo of the competition -- one being when one team blasted through to Contra and was way ahead (who also ended up losing on the restart).
One thing that would have made the Contra challenge is instead of Khoo coming out and entering the Conta-Code, the Omeganaughts should have been left to their own devices to have known it and enter it themselves.

I don't know how well that would've worked out since from the looks of things it was their first time playing Contra--they probably wouldn't have known how to do the code.
*also looked like their first time playing Super Mario Bros--they ran right by so many coin blocks!
