Alcohol resistance? You get drunk like 3 or 4 times in the game. Plus all of the fistfights are easy even without the fist fight feats. I don't think I ever lost one.
I've gotten the end of the second chapter at this point so I'm quite interested to see how you'll play certain choices. You've completed this before I take it? I laughed at your Alvin comments as the fact he sleeps on the reverends floor quite amusing.
I have played this before. Luckily I have a short memory. And the Alvin stuff is pretty confusing. "The Reverend wants to hit me, but he says he's saving me." It's hard to tell what the kid believes.
My parents took in a dog that had four homes in its first three months of life. They were good to that dog until (and including) the day it died, fifteen years later. But you could tell the dog was always afraid to really trust them, that the arrangement was temporary.
So... we got a dead puppy, a raped girl and money stained with blood.
And we also happened to find a girl who killed herself in the crypt.
Well, whatever. I'm sure the Reverend will perform a fair and thorough investigation and will discover, in his fair-minded objectivity, that Abigail was behind it all and she needs to die.

Oh I know, I just have never really used them so it would be kind of neat to see. That and I'm drowning in Bronze talents so I doubt there will ever be a shortage.
...and only three talents? I thought you leveled twice for some reason. Ah well. I'd vote for igni ignition and whatever else. I just like to see some of the later creatures burn to death.
big I was the first to vote who had not had a turn yet, so he won for talents. There will be a new vote for talents (and money spending and a new story choice) after the new videos are done uploading.
Yeah, I think that improving Igni is the way to go. Don't bother with the repellants, and get the formulae for making bombs. Igni'ing and bombing our way through the monsters.
Also, let the elves take the crates. None of our business.
Stab the squirrels. Also get both the plant books but not the swamp monster one as i think there's only one thing in it you don't currently know how to skin.

Also... the Reverend told us to go earn the trust of some respected members of the community, right? But one of them is a moronic gate guard and the other is rather shady dealer. Is there really nobody better in that town? :?

The townsfolk are kinda of a shifty bunch overall.

No wonder the women are so eager to hook up with Geralt, then. He's the only decent prospect around.

He's immune to disease, so he doesn't have any STDs. He is also infertile. A perfect consequence-free hookup!

You know, I just recently had a discussion pertaining that. You know, because my friend and I really are that nerdy.
We decided that while he is immune that doesn't mean he doesn't carry disease around with him on that dip stick of his. We also, decided we have no evidence of hygiene (ie bathing those germs away) so he's basically a carrier of every disease possible.

But only if you play Man-Slut Geralt. If you play Puritan Geralt, then it ain't no thang.

Well, chapter two spoilers:
He walks into a plague infested medical ward. If he carries even one carrier animal like a tick or something its going to spread. Man, ouch.
I have a feeling that Haren wouldn't stutter so much... If he wore more clothes! O Cristo Redentor! Is there a global cloth shortage in this world or what?
Also, what are the names of the books the Witcher is based off of? I think I want to start reading 'em.
Wikipedia says there are five novels (the Blood of Elves series) and three short story collections (although one of the short story collections doesn't have much about Geralt in it). They also say that book two in the Blood of Elves series is set to be translated (at least in the UK) some time next year.
+1 on siding with the witch. Having seen her sexcard, I'm interested in how Blain is going to censor it
And for what it's worth, the books are ok up until the final two, which are an absolute letdown. The end comes across as a monument to Sapkowski's ego.

I definitely picked that up from Futurama where Bender is referred to as being "more on the supply side of crime."
So, out of curiosity, what won?

lol Curse you Blain, I was just about to launch Command and Conquer: Generals: Zero Hour: Redux: Electric Bungaloo 2: The Fire Bombing.
I sure do love my Chinese MiGs with Black Napalm upgrade. Firestorms are purdy.
Well, now I get to watch your vids. After I download 'em from MediaFire.
[EDIT] Decided to snip out the post. For ease of scrolling?
[EDIT2] Adding in my vote.
I vote we buy this. Nothing else really looks appealing. Plus, we'll have a use for that bomb powder we got at Khar Marson or whatever it was called.
[EDIT3] Adding in my other vote.
I say let the poncy elves have their crates.
And for Bronze points, I say we improve Igni with Level 2, Harm's Way I, Harm's Way II, and Incinerate.
~~~
Then I vote you only use Igni, and only speak through a gasmask. HUDAHUDAHUDA! :P
Just kidding.
Also, let the elves take the crates. None of our business.
Agreed
Don't know about the books, really. More herb-knowledge might come in useful, I guess.
The townsfolk are kinda of a shifty bunch overall.
Actually he was paid to protect the crates...... From drowners. His contract says nothing about protecting it from tree-hugging elves.
He's immune to disease, so he doesn't have any STDs. He is also infertile. A perfect consequence-free hookup!
You'd think the local shady dealer would know about reading the fine print.
Thanks man.
How many are there? My copy of Last Wish should be arriving tomorrow, funnily enough they don't carry foreign fiction writers in podunk nowhere.
I'm also not sure how having sex with Abigail is going to prove her innocence, but I say let's go for it anyway.
Also, for the upcoming vote...
Considering the angry mob will consists of rapists, murderers and slavers, I say we side with the witch.
