I recently upgraded to PhotoShop CS from 7.0...and With some adjustments in my Wacom I'm trying to get some sort of style going with it, being used to only drawing in a pencil on paper...lemme know
ps...Cole Train needed some love too, Fenix is boring
it's larger due to the right leg being much further back, like a mean stance
But it really just doesn't look like it's that much farther back. If it is "much further back" then certain parts need to be a bit smaller, and the leg need to be placed farther away from the leg that's stepping forward. it's also hard to tell exactly what would help in fixing that since part of it is cut off, and it would have helped to see that.
And like the others have said, up the contrast some more, it looks pretty dull right now.
Also, depending on what the blood is on, it will appear to be a different color, especially since it interacts with seperate materials defferently. For instance, the blood on the blade of the saw would look fairly red and much brighter than the blood on the leather strap around his left leg, which would be closer to a black color.
His hip area is really bothering me too--it looks a little displaced.
Considering his stance, his torso whould have a bit more of a 3/4 feel to it. But when you just look at that area it's as if it's straight on so there's no foreshortning going on, which makes him look twisted slightly awkwardly in the hip are.
It doesn't look like you have a really clear or defined light source either.
keep working on it though, you'll get the hang of it! ;D
It looks like you have a good start, and you just need to practice some more.
