So the Bigman thread thinks it's all cool and shit with their weight lifting and their protein shakes and their steroids. Well here's a thread for the rest of us!
You don't have to be a complete fatty to want to drop a few pounds!
First off, visit and read the first post in this thread:
Thanatos Fitness Thread. I'm reposting it here because there's a crap ton of great information in it; Good exercises, diets, what to watch for, etc. There's a great section on post-workout meals that you should really pay attention to.
Then visit
here and sign up. This is The Daily Plate - it'll track your calories, fitness, etc. It's an excellent way to keep track of what you're eating as well as your physical activity. Want to know how many calories a serving of Chik-Fil-A chicken strips has? Type it in and it'll tell you!
I plan on posting my daily calorie count here (right before I go to bed) as well as my physical activity.
So once you sign up for The Daily Plate you can PM me your daily calorie count goal and I'll list it here. If you don't want to put your weight in here, don't! Just list your target caloric intake goals. And remember; NO CHEATING! You're only cheating yourself if you don't put down that Big Mac you just ate - or the piece of coffee cake you had at Starbucks (those things have 570 calories, btw).
Remember, if you have any physical disability (mental ones don't count in this context) or are really overweight then consult your physician before doing any strenuous exercise.
I'll start us off:
Cogliostro: Height:: 6'5"
Weight: OMG
Goal: Drop 6 lbs a week (After physician consult, this is healthy for me, but probably not for you normal people)
Caloric Intake: 1686 Calories/day
Physical Activity (per day):
Walk 3.5mph for 2 miles (approx. 40 minutes)
Swimming - Laps, freestyle (vigorous): 1.5 Hours
Weight LIfting (freeweights, nautilus, etc): 20 Minutes/Day

Isn't that like, what a tiny comatose woman would need to barely survive?
And I don't starve myself because I eat smaller meals throughout the day. Breakfast is my biggest one, averaging about 400 - 600 calories and then I eat three or four smaller 100 - 200 calorie meals
