Ill admit, I didnt do any thorough thread excavation, so now that I think of it at 3:15 in the morning I find it slightly silly to have "Official" in the title.
But, I wanted to get the steamroller moving; I want to know how many people are for the Protomen to be here for PAX Prime?
Their official site bulletin has the following:
http://www.protomen.com/images/emails/17/LetterToTheWestCoastians.jpg
Theyre practically calling us out, ladies and gentlemen. Let's help them experience the thrill that is entertaining us at PAX Prime!
Not only will I be making this thread tonight, but tomorrow (IE, after I have fallen asleep and subsequently woken up) I will be making a Facebook group dedicated to the Protomen coming to PAX 2010. Look it up when you get the chance.
Also, the game review site I belong to (Shameless plug incoming),
www.GAMINGtruth.com, will have an article up soon-ish, as well as a shoutout and possibly a tribute (Read: A song or two) on a future podcast.
Stay tuned, and lend your support! We must have the power ballads of the Mega Man universe entertain us at PAX!
Thanks everybody.
Sincerely,
Shaddz, The Fragrant Gamer

Facebook has hit 100 members! Rejoice!
An email has been sent to Robert Khoo, Gabe, and Tycho, detailing our goal, with links to GAMINGtruth's news entry, the FB group, and the Twitter feed. Hopefully theyll take note.
Tomorrow, Sunday the 11th, GAMINGtruth will record the 28th episode of the TRUTHcast. When it goes live, have a listen, as we'll be playing one or two of the Protomen's best songs.
We're going strong, ladies and gentlemen!
Thank you.

I would LOVE to see these guys again at Prime 2010. They were amazing.

I'm going to go with this.
Now if you were campaigning to get PAX to let them play both acts in their entirety...where the hell do I sign?
NEW ALBUM OUT, NOW WITH 100% MORE SHEEP!, have a listen will ya
If it was a done deal then Protomen wouldn't be asking their fans to petition for them.

One of the (many) live bands I've seen perform where they sound better live than they do in their (studio) album(s).
If there is ever something to sign, I will sign it.
->|SHIIIIIRRRRRT|<-
I will be making the FB group sometime tonight, maybe around 8 PM PST. Look it up when you get the chance.
Later everyone, and spread the word!

A: "What do you want from me?!?!?"
I hadn't seen Protomen before PAX East, but Henry Rollins would be proud. I don't think anyone could doubt their commitment. The people of Seattle deserve to have their minds blown at PAX Prime.
Also, I hug strangers.
But yeah, I've been listening to those albums almost non-stop now, and watching our concert footage of the performance over and over. So incredibly awesome. I never knew the Megaman story had so much meat to it.
Signed, double-signed from another state, triple and quadruple-signed by a couple dead relatives.
I WANTS MORE PROTOMEN.
Protomen please come to Prime! Maybe we can bring back the light.
Signed!
The official PAX group on FB, my friend Coleen went and did it instead of me. Tryin to one-up me!

IT WILL BE AWESOME.
THAT'S ALL.
Please don't get hung up on seeing just one band. Sure there great but don't be devastated when this might not happen.
<Qs23> I just need to get my dicks in a row
<prox> i work for dicks
#paforums_pax, all about the dicks.
Joined to say this. Bringing the Protomen to Seattle will guarantee my ticket purchase.
My signature is yours.
Regardless, I'm interested. Here's my X.
And thanks everyone else!
Keep it up!
The Facebook group (http://tinyurl.com/yacugsm) is going strong so far, with almost 30 members in a little less than 48 hours!
The more the merrier, lets get a good sign that PAX wants them out here before the PA folks get the musical talent decided for this year!
And please, refer your friends!

Wil Wheaton for President 2012!
THIS. THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS. A THOUSAND TIMES THIS.
Please?
Every other part of PAX was really chill, people were friendly, and even when things got busy, it all still just seemed low-key. But the Protomen show? Just the opposite. I guess they're "geeky" because they are inspired by Mega Man or something, but the concert hall otherwise felt like I was surrounded by a bunch of metalheads looking to mosh, not a brotherhood of geeks.
Metroid Metal and portions of VGO really rocked hard, so I'm not looking for all JoCo and Paul and Storm here, but if Protomen are at PAX, I'll know to avoid them from now on.
Oh, and I tried to give them a second chance after PAX. I figured I'd go to their website, maybe see what they're all about, listen to some sample tracks where you can actually hear the lyrics, since their sound levels at the Hynes sucked. Their site was a Flash monstrosity that resized my browser. Closed it right there. Protomen are not for me.
