One of the things I liked about Seven was that it was pitched at the right level for me. Not too simple, but not so abstruse that I just give up.
When I realised that Pitt wanted to save the city and Gwyneth Paltrow wanted to leave I knew it couldn't end well for them. If they left, he'd 'lose' and if they stayed she would.
I was ticking off sins on my fingers as the delivery truck drove up, and worked out what was in the box as soon as I saw it.
If I work it all out earlier or later it's boring. But if I work out what's going on just as it's happening it's super-dramatic and entertaining.
i have broken or fractured nearly every bone in my body over time
i've had multiple concussions, shingles, repeated pneumonia, pleurisy, muscular separation, a god damn stroke, multiple transient ischemic attacks or "mini-strokes", severe seizures, and a wide variety of various bacterial infections
i should basically not be alive anymore. when i was a teenager, a doctor told me that because of my endocrine disorder, i will probably be dead by the time i was 25
i turn 27 next tuesday
shit, i've even tried to kill myself, three times, and not been successful

I am not working on what I should be. This is not good. Though, I am working on the next thing on the list, I should just finish this review first before I start writing my paper.

what
there is connective tissue that attaches your muscles to your skeleton
if you sustain a "crush injury" (which i have on more than one occasion) it can cause rhabdomyolysis, which is a breakdown of that muscle tissue and then the muscle separates from the bone, the intervening space fills with fluid, and if untreated can basically kill you
Pony, whenever I hear about your runaway adrenal gland and assorted horribleness, I always picture the scenario that your body overclocked itself, against your will, and now you metaphorically overheat and crash on occasion.

that's more or less accurate to what happened
for example, most of the bone and muscle tissue injuries i've sustained over the years are largely due to my adrenal gland going bananas and me, for example, hitting someone so hard in kickboxing that i broke my own arm
that sort of thing
it happens less now because i am on meds to keep me chilled out, so that's good

whereas, other types of pain have a "ceiling" where your brain will eventually go "fuck this" and go into shock
nerve pain? no, not so much
if you get your hand cut off, for example, after a little bit your brain will basically shut down and block shit out
with a nerve disease like the shingles? that doesn't happen. the pain is essentially unlimited and unstoppable, and can take you well beyond what you thought was conceivable to feel.

i'd say "kill me" but the reality is i can't die
i laughed a lot
Hi [chat], what's up?
You can't die
But I'll bet you can kill
8-)

the way it keeps flashing back to morgan's face looking horrified
i lose it every time
technically, you could be interpreted to be correct, i guess
No no no
the correct follow-up is
i've had multiple concussions, shingles, repeated pneumonia, pleurisy, muscular separation, a god damn stroke, multiple transient ischemic attacks or "mini-strokes", severe seizures, and a wide variety of various bacterial infections

i've gotten it in my arm and in my chest before
it is mind-blowingly painful
that is less terrifying and more sad
All I have to say is that there had better be donuts at this meeting!
with all those things i mentioned
the shingles is still by far the most painful
like, i have nightmares about it sometimes
wake up crying and clutching at phantom pain in my back that's not even there!
also I should finish Minerva Metastasis too
EDIT: Misery is a finite resource, or happiness/misery is a zero-sum game. Pony suffers for all of us. He has more garmonbosia than us, so to speak.

Well, someone changed the name of it so it no longer insults you for approving of him, and as a result they're talking about Robot Assassins.
Also Genocide is okay if you're doing it to brown people.
So what's the deal with that Eos chick
what are you
a homosexual
that was really what has me going
whatttt?
it's essentially limitless.

It's what happens when we fail to teach what happened during the period of colonization. People want to repeat the same mistakes the Europeans made.
do you think our society could benefit from the sexuality demonstrated in Brave New World, provided we also had sufficiently capable contraceptives?
no
i consider Brave New World a horror story
basically an example of how not to run a society
it's dystopian fiction, in the same vein as 1984
that's how i see it
i consider Brave New World what I want society to ultimately be
(sort of)
