From what I understand: The stuff of hers that got de-canon'd was the Republic Commando stuff though, not the Legacy of the Force series. Although there's stuff from Legacy of the Force that's no longer canon because it was based off that republic commando stuff but it's mostly still canon. It's actually sorta confusing in that Boba Fett is still alive during Legacy of the Force due to clone life extension research that was meant to happen in the republic commando continuity that isn't going to be made anymore.

At one point I actually had the star wars encyclopedia....and read it. Had a huge nerd boner for the Thrawn series too (I thought they should be the basis for movies 7, 8, and 9).
My only saving grace is that I was young and that phase ended before it did much permanent damage.
