Adding stuff to excel graphs

I'm plotting some data for a class using excel. It's just a regular X-Y axis graph with increments of 200 on the x-axis and percents for the y-axis. I would like to make a line come from 50% and go to the plotted line, then go down to the corresponding x-value. Is this something that I can do automatically or I have to draw in myself? I've just been adding a point with Y-value of 50 and changing the x-value until it gets close enough to the plotted data line. kinda ugly and it seems like there should be a better way. Thanks
